NAPL Timeline. . .The 1930s

1933
Walter E. Soderstrom founds the National Association of Photo-Lithographers
1935
NAPL Board votes to incorporate as nonprofit organization.
1937
First NAPL Photo Lithographers Manual is published.
1934
President Roosevelt signs National Recovery Legislation; NAPL designated litho industry enforcement authority.
1936
Dues structure formalized. Annual dues are established at $35, with added assessment based on press equipment utilization.
1938
The Photo-Lithographer magazine sold to The Photo-Lithographer, Inc. for initial payment of $10,000. Soderstrom remains editor for one-year transition.
